Improving vessel energy efficiency with enhanced BOG management

To accompany LNG as marine fuel of choice, GTT has adapted its business model to facilite membrane tank integration inside LNG fuelled vessels. This flexible posture has been key to GTT success with many vessels currently sailing, knowledge available and guidelines at disposal to improve operation and safety of any future LNG ship.

Those Guidelines cover tank interfaces betterment, possible evolutions of containment system configuration and thermal performances (MarkIII, MarkIII Flex, 700 mbarg or 1 barg feature), adding to specific tips on chain gas architecture and equipment. implementation of Recycool, a key boil-off management feature, is also regarded. Such equipment is subject to ease operations, improve energy efficiency and reduce overall carbon footprint.

Increasing operational window for FSRU and FLNG units

Power

Offshore units (FLNG or FSRU) are loaded by LNG carriers during ship-to-ship operations. During this process, the LNG carrier tanks go through all filling levels, from high to low.

In order to improve the operation window of the offshore units, GTT provides a unique digital solution for live sloshing risk prediction based on the weather forecast, the ship particulars and the operating conditions.
